Good coaching begins with language, but it also requires listening carefully to the person, the work and the purpose behind the words.
Independent by choice
I work personally with every client.
For more than 20 years, professionals have returned to me – or contacted me on the recommendation of former clients – because the coaching is personal, reliable and relevant.
I am not assigning a standard course on behalf of a large language school. I plan and teach the work myself, adjusting it as your confidence, responsibilities and immediate needs develop.
My academic background includes anthropology, English language and literature, and psychology at Queen’s University Belfast. I also studied for a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics at Birkbeck, University of London. That breadth still shapes how I teach: language is never separate from people, work, culture or intention.
Originally from Belfast and long based in Denmark, I bring warmth, curiosity and a practical ear to every session. I want clients to leave not only with better English, but with a clearer sense of what they want to say.
